Portland offers a bevy of delightful parks and gardens : the famed Rose Test Garden is located near the impressive Japanese Garden. With a peak rising to 3425 meters Mount Hood is an unmistakable landmark of the state, some viewpoints are accessible via the Mount Hood Scenic Loop. For over 500 km the Oregon Coast Trail follows the Pacific Coast. The only national park in the state lies in a landscape like nowhere else, hence its name “Crater Lake National Park”. The Rim Drive circles the edge of the caldera lake.
