You must purchase an entrance ticket to each national park. If you plan to visit several parks, we recommend that you purchase the "America The Beautiful" pass for $80 per vehicle (as of April 2016) at the first park you visit. This will allow the pass owner and three accompanying adults to visit all federallyoperated parks (State parks and Tribal parks excluded). No entry fee charged for children 15 or under. This pass will quickly pay for itself as a pass for a single park costs between $20 to $30 per vehicle. We also suggest that you first go to the Visitor Center before visiting each park. These centres, which are managed by park rangers, are a wealth of information. You will be able to learn about the most interesting sites and receive a map of the park.
Do you wish to visit one of the magnificent national parks such as Arches National Park, Yosemite National Park, Glacier National Park and Rocky Mountain National Park? To enter these parks or to visit certain areas of them, they ask you to reserve an additional permit. When to reserve it depends on the park itself, but it is important that you register on time on the website www.recreation.gov.
