Minneapolis-St. Paul-Bloomington is conveniently located in the middle of the United States with an award-winning international airport (MSP). MSP is a proud hub for Delta Airlines with direct flights from across the globe. Minnesota is a natural Gateway to The Great American West (ND, SD, WY, MT, ID), The Great Lakes as well as the Headwaters of the Mississippi River.

Once you are in MSP, we know you want to see the hottest spots and not miss anything. But you might not know where to start—or even what Minneapolis-Saint Paul-Bloomington is all about. Don’t worry, we’re here for you.

Once here, getting around is a snap using light rail transit, with stops in both downtown Minneapolis and downtown St. Paul, MSP airport, and Bloomington (home of Mall of America). MSP boasts some of the best cycling infrastructure in the country with hundreds of kilometers of bike lanes. Make sure to grab a convenient Nice Ride (local bicycle sharing program) and pedal around our iconic rivers, lakes, and parks.

In Minneapolis, we’re passionate about our arts and culture. Sports and our world-class sporting venues are cornerstones to life. And here, everything is homegrown – our music, our food, and our festivals.

Minneapolis is a destination known for our walkable downtown, a historic Mississippi Riverfront, colorful murals, world-renowned museums, six professional sports teams, our love of all things Prince and our top-ranked park system. Our city has long welcomed people from all over the world. And today, our story also includes a renewed social justice movement along with a city and region on a journey of transformation.

Minneapolis’ twin city to the East, Saint Paul is jam-packed with history, architecture, food and more. The Cathedral Hill neighborhood is home to numerous historic buildings, including the Cathedral of Saint Paul – hence the neighborhoods name. And across the city from the Cathedral is the equally regal Minnesota State Capitol building. Don’t miss the largest house in St. Paul - the James J. Hill House. Learn how Mr. Hill created his fortune and helped to open the Western U.S. as the owner of the Great Northern Railway

The “Juicy Lucy” - a cheese-stuffed burger – is a staple of Minnesota cuisine. While it began in Minneapolis, Saint Paul’s The Nook and sibling restaurant Shamrocks has Guy Fieri’s approval (and his own “Lucy” on the menu).

No trip to Minnesota is complete without a stop at Bloomington’s Mall of America, one of North America’s largest retail and entertainment complexes. Mall of America’s 520+ stores, 50+ restaurants, and attractions like Nickelodeon Universe, SEA LIFE at Mall of America, and Crayola Experience attract more than 40 million visitors annually. Plus, there’s no sales tax on clothing or shoes in Minnesota!

Bloomington’s 45+ hotels range from budget to luxury and are all located just minutes away from Mall of America. Most hotels offer free parking and shuttle to Mall of America, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport.

With all this in one destination, you may need more than a couple nights!
